were super excited as it was the first time SJC was participating in a National Camp. 11 Guides and their Guide Captain Ms. Leena Vairale were attending the Jamboree for the first time from The Western Suburban Scout Guide Association. At Pali, Rajashthan, 18th National Jamboree, 18 Guides and 18 Scouts were selected. 36 Scouts and Guides were accompanied by the Guide Captain Ms. Leena Vairale, St Joseph's Convent High School Bandra (W), Scout Masters Mr. Joshi Sir from I.E.S Bandra (East), Sylvan Sir from Xaviers Santacruz School and  Sunil Bhalerao from Bandra as a Contingent Leader for west suburb. In the month of September, the selection of the scouts and Guides was done for the Jamboree. Three months of  vigorous training was given at Western suburban District Activity Center Juhu. The whole team left from Mumbai for the camp on January 1st 2023  and  reached Pali on January 2nd, 2023 evening 7:40. From the station to the campsite buses were arranged by the State Government of Rajasthan. It was almost 11pm, the troup finished the registration formality and  the tent was allotted where the western suburban team was going to stay for the camp. Though the place was not organized properly, all the members just put their beds and went to sleep after the tiring journey. The weather was completely different than Mumbai. After the chilling night, another morning all had to get up at 5:30 am as per the timetable given by the Jamboree officials. The day was important for us as it was the day for Colour Party selection. One Colour Party was going to be selected from all  the states of India to lead the March Past main Ceremony. Whereas Other teammates started leveling off  the ground around the  tent and making tent gadgets.

4th January: This was the actual day all Scouts and Guides were waiting for, the opening of the 18th National Jamboree. The President of India, Smt. Dropadi Murmu was the Chief Guest. It was a grand function  to witness where all states participated. Also, there was a beautiful presentation of an aircraft show in honour of the President of India. The Jamboree event started with adventure activities and camp activities.

Every day children were having some camp tasks, competitions and a certain number of adventure games to complete, to reach the target to achieve the badges and certificates.

10th January: Closing day of Jamboree. It was a very satisfactory day. Looking at the various activities that all Scouts/Guides completed throughout all days of camping, the Western Suburban company achieved. Western Suburban was chosen First among all the states of India for the Colour Party. It also scored A+ almost in all the other activities.

All Scouts and Guides were happy to have such experience and emotional at the closing ceremony. The event was declared close but the memories will stay forever. The stay in the Pali tents got over. left for Mumbai  carrying all the memories forever.
